Here is my story: I recently turned forty and have lived in NYC since 1998.  Most of that time I worked or consulted for well-known Wall Street firms in human resources.  My work focussed on helping leaders be effective and organizations be successful.  Those years on the Street were filled with awesome ups (like ringing the closing bell at NYSE and dining with CEOs) and bewildering lows (the 9/11 attacks and financial meltdown of 2008).

My personal plight has been no different; and, out of the devastation of my past comes a new path.  I am a new man.  I have new purpose and direction.  Writing, photography and the study of shamanism are the tools I choose to propel me forward; to help me heal.  Through them I experience the world and people around me in new light.

June, 2011, I hit the road for a cross-country, soul seeking road trip to rediscover my mental and physical health, my relationship with myself and other people, and the country in which I live.  I chronicle this quest, along with my passions, observations and allegations on this site.

My name is Fibitz.  This is my journey.
